Gerome takes up a large footprint in the Waiting Room. He is big and boxy. He sits thick-necked and awkward, with a defensive hunch. Inside his seemingly crude exterior, however, is a sweet, marshmallowy centre.
lyrics
scuze me there
but you're standing on my freedom
you got your big loafer
on my liberty and I can't really see
how you get around
with such a heavy step
indebted to misjudgement
queen of regret
sure i got some problems
some issues haven't you
so sue me and bring me in for questioning
on all my petty sins
call the cops why don't you
i dare you to bring it on cause you're wrong
i'm not what you're thinking
don't look away
can't you see straight
while you're looking at my face
what do you see that makes you so afraid of me
i'm just a big old pussy cat
i'd curl up in your lap
and purr away the hours
sometimes i dream of what might be
if only you could see
all the beauty i have inside…
but i can't escape my crude exterior
that makes me so inferior, to your eyes
i am not inferior
so i say
screw you pal
go and take your dirty looks with you
return them to your eyeballs
where they can fall back in your brain and drain
right out your ears into the airy atmosphere
to float away and disappear
get out of my face
get out of my face
get out of my face
get out of my face, please.
